I’ve met a lot of people who are surprised at how much work goes into taking care of birds. Even ‘starter birds’ like budgies. I’ve seen cockatiels in cages so small it was a wonder they were still alive. I’ve had my own family members tell me that my birds are going to become spoiled when I’ve only given them their basic needs.

I’ve grown a lot as a bird owner and everyday I’m learning new things about each one of my four tiny budgies.

Please. Don’t take in an animal if you aren’t prepared to deal with their normal behaviors and basic needs.
